Title: no longer ddwrt?
Post by: Goddard on March 07, 2015, 03:35:33 PM
I noticed the interface changed.  Is the router still running ddwrt?  Everything looks different.

Also What the hell is up with like 5 different forms of verification?  Are you guys really trying to discourage normal people from posting?

Honestly just use the Google Captcha if it is that hard for you.

It supports it but doesn't come as default. You need to download and install it from the buffalo website.

The WZR-1750DHPD ships with DD-WRT installed, the WZR-1750DHP ships with the native Buffalo firmware.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could provide a direct link to an image I can download to rewrite the new, non-DD-WRT firmware with the DD-WRT version.

I bought the device and it had DD-WRT in it out of the box. I went through the upgrade procedure to make sure I have the latest version before I begin my experiments. My goal was to set up a bittorrent client along with my VPN server.

As a result, I ended up in a completely different interface and was puzzled by the fact that it did not provide the VPN features I was expecting (actually, there are none at all).

Now I wish to revert to an older version, or set up DD-WRT from scratch - in order to get that functionality back.

I hope there is a straightforward way to do that.

ralienpp,

Where are you located? Have you contacted tech support in your region?

I know this is a old post , but my WZR-1750DHP came with dd-wrt 24SP2- (06/12/14) std - build 23709c

so I guess I should avoid updating it

just got it this month
