Title: LS420D not acessible
Post by: ukcat on February 24, 2015, 08:36:56 AM
Assisting a new client with a Buffalo LS420D, which we seem to be unable to get connected to any network.  They've recently moved and parted ways with their previous IT person, so no info on settings is available.

When the unit is started, the power LED and Funtions LEDs flash white for 10 seconds.  Then, the Function LED starts flashing red and does nothing else.  The red flashing light does so for seven (7) flashes at a time in a cycle.  I have tried searching for documentation to help explain this and have tried going through the Reset process I have seen described, but still cannot access the device.

It's currently doing that same Function LED flashing red 7 times over and over and over....the NAS Navigator software never finds it on any of the three, different networks we've tried it on.

HELP!
