Title: Transfering a raid from one NAS to another
Post by: Coops2012 on January 21, 2015, 05:55:39 AM
Hello Guys,
I currently have a Bufflo TS-HTGL/R5 (TS-H1.0TGL/R5) and I believe that the raid controller has failed. I am not able to fix the raid controller as I deem it to be a hardware issue. I have found a H4.0TGL/R5 for a reasonable price and I am unsure if the drives that I currently have will simply need plugging in and the raid controller should do the rest or do I have to wipe the drives and rebuild the raid from scratch?

If I do need to wipe the drives, is there any techniques that you guys would recommend so I can recover the data?

Cheers in advance
