Title: LS220D cannot access through windows7
Post by: doobre on January 10, 2015, 07:09:11 AM
just installed a new LS220D (I already have three LS-WXL) ran the NAS Navigator2 from my PC and it shows in the navigator window and in windows network window and can access it through media shares from my media player and DLNA media players..

But If I try to open (double click) the shared folder in windows it asks for my PW..? and it does not accept it when I do enter it.. keeps on asking for my PW or use another account.
I did not have any such issue with the three LS-WXL's.. once they appeared in windows I could use them..

So how do I add files to the shared folders if I cannot access it through windows..???????

anyone help please

okay I have sorted it now.. I think.. so far so good..

I opened the web settings page and put it through the wipe and factory reset process.

This took 1440mins (= quite a long time) but when it was completed and restarted itself, the page came up to enter a password for the admin user, which it accepted. yeeharr

at that point the disks were two seperate disks so I created a RAID1 array and then created a shared folder, then created sub folders through the windows explorer.

now copying files to those folders, and I can access the shared folders and the sub-folders by double in windows explorer..

so it looks successful.. just took a lot of time..

cheers
