Title: Linkstation LS-WVL Series - The dreaded six flashing lights !!
Post by: azara on January 06, 2015, 08:15:11 AM
Hi all I would appreciate some help.... I think I need to do a boot strap process on my NAS.

I have six red flashing lights.  This is what happened.

- Had a disc failure
- Transferred all files off onto another NAS Drive.
- Re-formatted both drives (took them out and formatted them via a SATA caddy)
- Put them back into the NAS
- I am getting 6 flashing lights.

Reading some of the forums, I am not sure whether there is a boot strap process for my NAS!! :-(

My model is a LS-WV4.0TL/R1-EU

Thank you all..

If you formatted the disk, you wiped the OS off them. :/ you need to do TFTP now.

How to do TFTP - http://forums.buffalotech.com/index.php?topic=10185.0

TFTP Download - http://www.mediafire.com/download/7e1sat55ey12epa/TFTP_Boot_Recovery_LS-WVL_1.40.sfx.exe

If you need help ask me a question to what and I will answer it.
