Title: suggestion: built-in backup should preserve Owner attributes
Post by: buf00 on May 26, 2009, 11:19:19 PM

Buffalo LinkStation Mini

Model# LS-WS500GL/R1

Firmware: 1.04

Configured for RAID1

I noticed that the built-in Disk Backup feature preserves the timestamps of my source data, but changes the Owner attributes to "Unix User\root".  This is like Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V behavior.  It would be nice if Disk Backup was more like robocopy or RichCopy and could preserve Owner and other attributes.
