Title: LS PRO DUO 1TB "Can't confirm partition exists"
Post by: Opus_64 on May 26, 2009, 12:41:06 PM

Hi folks,

I think I've gone as far as I can without reformatting....  I finally got into EM mode with connectivity through TFTP, and trying to do a firmware update (updater) so that I can access the Raid0 drives under normal operation,  and I'm getting the following error: "Couldn't confirm that a partition exists on the TARGET.  Updater will format the TARGET and will update the TARGET. ***All of data will be lost*** Do you want to format and update the TARGET?

I want my data!!!  Am I toast, is there any way to access the data in this Raid0 config?

 Thanks!

LS PRO DUO LS-W1.0TGL/R1-V3

Firmware 3.08 (Current)

Raid 0 (Configured as)

The only thing I can suggest to you would be to try UFS explorer.  It is a software program designed for data recovery on raid hard drives.  I believe it costs about 50$ for the license.

Try using Fedora to see your hard disk.

See whether can the hard disk be mounted.

If so, you should be able to see 3 different harddisk icons/folders on your fedora desktop.

One of the folders contain your data.
