Title: Linkstation Pro USB Drives
Post by: billrussell on May 17, 2009, 01:44:26 PM

I have a 1 TB and a 300 GB external hard drives.  My Linkstation will only recognize one at a time.  Is there a limit to the size of external drives?  Am I missing something?

Thanks, Bill

It should be able to see both of them.

When you test one at a time, are you using the same USB port or can you confirm that they both work (if at least one at a time)?

Are this single drive USB drives?

What firmware version are you running?

I have a LS500GL Linkstation.  I tried a 360GB and a 1TB USB drives at the same time. I would only recognize one drive at a time.

Yes, I read this...

Can you please answer the questions from my last post:

can you confirm that both USB ports work (if at least one at a time)?

Are this single drive USB drives?

What firmware version are you running on the LS?

Both USB ports were working when I had a 160GB and 300GB drives attached.  The new SimpleDrive 1TB drives are singles.  But now I have a 1TB and a 160GB USB attached and only the 160GB is functioning.

The firmware is 1.11.
