Title: NasNavigator2 cannot find DriveStation FlexNet
Post by: grishick on May 11, 2009, 11:50:55 PM

I have a 1TB DriveStation Flexnet (HD-CE1.0TLU1-US) and want to use it with Mac over network. The problem is that when I connect the drive to the network NASNavigator2 cannot find it. I can see the device's web interface via browser, and I can access it via smb (sort of), but I cannot use it as timemachine or as a backup over network. When I am trying to access it via SMB it is VERY slow and randomly tells me that I do not have access to files while I am trying to copy the files over to the drive.

Firmware: BUF-CELU2-1.4T3 LOADER 3.5 W1.7

Model:  HD-CELU2

IP: 10.10.130.234

NASNavigator2 version 2.16

Hi,

please check your firewall. For testing switch it off and try using NASNavigator. In my case it was working.

regards

The DriveStation Flexnet is not designed to appear in the Nas Navigator as far as im aware. You can only manage it thorugh its web GUI using the IP address.

Yes, the NASNAV will not find the flexnet.  You must use the drivenavi that is on the installation CD.  When you contacted support you got no response?  Email or phone?
