hello all
i have couple of computers in the domain, firewall is set to the AD and some computer can go to the terrastation device by \\10.128.191.227\ and other gives error of rights, but there are no rights to the device on the folder.

Sounds like NTLM issue, Try this below on one pc and see if that helps. You can do it 3 ways. Buffalos software which you have to install on each pc if it works, Security policy which is SO much easier, or registry

Here is how to do it with the Registry ---> go to the following path "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\LmCompatibilityLevel" and change the value to "1"

For buffalotech software go to you units downloads and find where it talks about file share security in the comments.

Remember try one computer and see if it helps, or 2. If it does there you go.

Just wanted to let you know i did all the things mentioned to the post.

1) went to security policies changed them as requested
2) went to regedit i changed value to "1"
3) went to forums i downloaded a tool for security changes....

to all the above nothing.

i also opened to 2 machines (one that is working and one that is not) the local security policies and checked and applied to be the same....

nothing...

any other ideas?
