Title: Web Access-"Saving Data" until timeout-Linkstation LS-CH1.5 TL-V2
Post by: midas28 on November 06, 2014, 05:34:51 PM
Hi,
I couldn't find an answer to this, (sorry if I missed it) so I am hoping someone can help.  I have been trying to set up web access for a couple months to no avail.  I've updated firmware and even went back and did an factory reset and format.  Every time I try to set it up I get through process and hit save, I get the small window that says "saving data".  The blue line cycle through many times until the page times out.\
Anyone ever see this and have any ideas?
Thanks

Here is a list of things to try.

First make sure you have a static ip.

Make sure you have the latest firmware. Technically you can use the firmware from the LS-WVL as there base off the same thing. http://buffalotech.com/support-and-downloads/download/ls_series-169.zip

Do a factory restore (this wont delete data) to start off fresh with no settings.

Go to webaccess and do the advance option. Disable UPNP and type 9000 in both internal and external port.

If none of that works try to create the firewall rule in your router with the ip of the linkstation and the port and try again. A firewall very rarely can make the unit hand.. no idea how but i have helped someone who had this exact problem and it was that.

Let me know if any of these work for you.

If you want the device to work outside your network you would need to port forward if  your routers UPNP is not picking the units request. Having a static ip is recommended but its up to you.
