Title: Will Password Reset Affect Data?

We are taking over the operations of a company who uses a Terastation Pro II.  We do not know the original password, but we found the procedure to reset.

 

My question is, if we reset the password, will this affect the data on the Terastation in anyway.  As far as we can tell, all of the data is shared on  few shared directories, none of which have any password protection.
