Title: Unable to boot into safe mode
Post by: LS1Zedder on October 23, 2008, 03:52:30 AM

Hey guys.  I have a Linkstation Live 500 GB.  I have been doing backups to a USB disk and have recently had some problems.  Twice the backup has errored out and now it says two backups are in progress on the webrowser's backup page.  I have seen the technote where is says to restart in safe mode twice to clear this.  I have tried powering up while holding the reset button and nothing happens.  No lights flashing in unison or beeps.  Can you guys help?  I have tried this safe mode thing many times without success.

Should I just re-initialize my Linkstation?  I know the data is safe if I do this.  Would I have to re-create my users and shared folders if I do this?

I would force flash the firmware first then set it back to factory defaults from the web interface not the button (data is still safe)
