For some reason my TS-RXL sometimes doesnt allow me to log into the web console, I just get a spinning icon and no prompt for username or password. Once the device is powered off and back on I can then log in until the next time it does it.

All this time the device functions fine through the network so I still have access to all my files and folders but it bugs me that I cant log in without powering it down.

My question is, is there a correct way to power down or reboot the device without just pulling the power so a more controlled shutdown is what im after.

Answer a few question for me real quick,

1. Can you ping the ip of the unit when you are unable to login. This should be a yes if you are able to access your files.

2. Does nas navigator see the unit? This should be a yes if you are able to access your files.

Have you tried different browsers? or clear your cach/temp/cookies/etc.

If the unit is responding then the UI should be as well. Never seen it do what you are saying. Though you never know. Also what is you firmware version?

I could ping it etc but never thought of using another browser, once I used another browser that allowed me to log on, so I logged in using IE and then logged out through IE and now it gives me the logon prompt with Firefox so you sort of fixed it for me.

np, if anything i would download ccleaner and clear out all your temp and stuff. I recommend it to a lot of people so if you want to its upto you. https://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER

If you can ping it then use ACP commander to reboot it.
