Title: Unable to access folders on LinkStation Duo
Post by: hotel0077 on September 30, 2014, 07:48:01 AM
Good Morning,
I am having a BIG problem with some folders on the NAS Buffalo LinkStation Duo.

In practice, some time ago I copied the folders on the NAS and, despite not having changed my login credentials, now tells me that you can no longer access it.

I also tried logging in as ADMIN but there's no way. I also tried to create a new user but... I can not access the files.

Obviously I also try to change permissions to the folders but the NAS will not let me.

In your opinion how can I do to solve the problem and be able to access the files?

So let me make sure i understand, you login to the units UI interface with the admin login and made a new user and also tried to change permission on the folder correct? or are you talking about through windows? if you trying this through windows it will not work. You need to login to the units web interface.

Ok so... not quiet getting as your answers are very board. Since im not sure if you logging in to the UI or the folder. Or trying to access the folder in the UI...

I can only assume that you are logging into the UI and you are trying to access the folder... if so you dont do it like this. You need to map the share to the computer...

Or are you logging in to the share with the admin rights but cant access nothing.

Does the buffalo Nas Navigator see the unit and if so are there any "!" or "?" next to unit?... Yes? then tell me what they are saying.
No? then right click and go to share. Can you get to your share now?

I need as much detail as you can give me so i can make more sense of your issue. I feel like i have a clue but not sure.
