Title: LS-WXL installation fails.
Post by: DoctorKeo on September 25, 2014, 12:34:53 AM
I have a LS-WXL which is running the latest firmware. I have changed my router to a Linksys EA6500. When I do an installation for Buffalo – I downloaded the installation programs from Buffalo site – the installation fails. I have had the new router checked out by Linksys which passes the diags. I did at first just plug the Ethernet cable straight into the EA6500, thinking it would be recognised – This didn't work either. Linksys says I just need the Buffalo configuration details. When I run NAS Navigation 2 it does find the drive but with errors, and reports an invalid IP address, and asked to change this, but this also fails. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Whats the ip? if its 192.168.1.10 for example you will have to directly hook up to you linkstation from pc to linkstation with a ethernet cord and the assign a static ip to your pc and then you can set the linkstation to dhcp, once that is done and the unit shows its dhcp you can now hook the unit back to the router, change your pc back from static ip to dhcp as well and your problem should be solved, if not let me know.
