Title: TV does not see DNLA files
Post by: bcaine on July 27, 2014, 06:31:42 PM
I am trying to use the media sharing functionality in a LS-CHL F/W 1.12 and while the tv can see folders, it can't see the movie files themselves, except for two. I can see the files on a mounted file system from my Apple computer and i can run them. I tried to compare the two files that can be seen and I don't see any file permission or ownership differences from those that cannot be seem. Formats vary, but my TV (Sharp) should be able to see them. I saw reference to a public directory. I created a Videos share point off root and inserted the files there. The tv sees the directories. Do the files need to be owned by a specific user / group for DNLA to work? I am now connecting the drive to the network. Does the router play a role too? Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
