Title: New LS 420D availabe HD space
Post by: AlanMc on July 20, 2014, 07:50:41 AM
All,

I've just purchased a 6TB Linkstation 420D and on inspection of the each HD there is ~250 GB missing from each drive. What does the Nas need 500 GB for?

Best Regards,

Alan

On a "3TB" HDD you actually have 2.7TB of useable space.

Yes, that is correct.  So, what is the other 230GB being used for?  Seems excessive.

Best Regards,

Alan
