Hello everyone...

I have been using Linkstation Pro ( LS-V3.0TL ) for the past 2 years. Unfortunately 2 weeks ago my HDD was dead. I have lost all my data.

Anyway I have bought a new WD 3 GB HDD for nas and installed into the box before formatting or creating partitions.

I could succeeded to complete TFTP process as well but once I have tried to update the firmware, I saw a warning on the screen which was "There is no partition so updating is cancelled"

I have urgently need to know how to format and create the necessary partitions while HDD is in the box?

Debug the firmware and select "delete partition table"

Thank you very much for your help but I have another question;

How can I debug the firmware..

I was trying to use LS updater to install the firmware and unfortunately I'm a DIY person but not that much expertise.

After a search I have found that article which is explaining how to debug

Do you think that it will work?

Also does it help to create new partition either?

It seems like you need to do LSupdater twice, 1st for creating partition and the 2nd for firmware installation.
