Title: How to apply iSCSI authentication between TS5000 NAS and Windows 2012 iSCSI?
Post by: qs-it on June 16, 2014, 05:33:25 PM
I have been able to successfully implement iSCSI connectivity between my TS5000 NAS server, and a Windows 2012 Server using the iSCSI Initiator, but when I enable access restrictions and apply a username/password to the iSCSI volume on the TS5000, I don't see where on the Windows 2012 server I can implement tighter controls in order to lock down the connection between the Windows 2012 Server and the TS5000 iSCSI volume.

Is there a tutorial or quick reference guide for doing this?

When you click the "Connect" button on the target you get a pop-up. Click the "Advanced" button. Click the check box for "Enable CHAP log on". The "Name" and "Target Secret" fields correspond to username and password.
