Title: LS-640CHL should I upgrade to latest FW?
Post by: tom_tom on May 01, 2009, 01:01:20 AM

Hi, I just buy Buffalo LS-640CHL about a month ago. Everything 's work great,I'm very happy. My firmware's 1.06 from the begining. I notice the latest fw is 1.07, should I upgrade the firmware. What different between 1.06 and 1.07?

Thank you very much.

TOM

Well tom_tom the phrase "if it isn't broke don't fix it" applies here.  Firmware updates are mainly released to alleviate bugs that occur during regular use.  You could sort of think of it like a car (you don't need an oil change every week ;)).  In the event that something doesn't work to your satisfaction however, you can then apply a firmware update and see if that helps solve your problem.  Hope this answers your question :)
