Title: Buffalo NAS Stuck Updating Firmware
Post by: marcato15 on May 27, 2014, 09:54:21 PM
I have a Buffalo Duo Pro LS-WVL/E and I had to turn it off one day to move it, so I hit the button that triggers that shut down procedure, and waited for it to stop blinking and the fans to stop spinning. However, when I plugged it back in, it booted into emergency mode. I went to the buffalo site and noticed there was a new firmware update, so I downloaded it, and ran it, however it got stuck in an endless cycle after applying the update of rebooting the machine. After it did this a number of times with no update, I tried initiating the shutdown sequence, but that did nothing. I had to manually shut it down, and when I turn it back on it's still in the "updating firmware" stage (as demonstrated  by the yellow light info window).  Is there any hope for my Data + NASA? I cannot get the Firmware updater or the NAS Navigator to get it to show now, where they would both show before. I'm doing this via Ethernet from an iMac. Any suggestions?

I got it working. Not sure if just leaving it plugged in worked or what, but it eventually just worked.
