Title: upgrade from LS-WX2 to LS421DE using same RAID0 HDDs
Post by: lee_eds on May 03, 2014, 04:56:26 AM
I've just upgraded my Linkstation from LS-WX2 to LS421DE and was hoping to use exactly the same RAID0 HDDs.
I have physically moved the HDDs into the new LS421DE NAS but when I boot the blue light just flashes for hours and is not recognised by NAS Navigator.
Yes the Drive 1 in old NAS became Drive 1 in new NAS

My old NAS, the LS-WX2 would only boot in EM Mode hence the upgrade.

Please help - I do not want to lose my data on my RAID0 disks??

Many Thanks

Lee

You cannot put them into the ls421 without erasing the data on them. Put them back into the lswxl and reinstall the firmware, failing that you will need to contact a data recovery company.
