Title: Do Linkstation firmware updates remove all existing data from the device?

I would like to upgrade my Linkstation Live with Bittorrent to the latest firmware (1.07).

 

However, I can't find a definitive answer about whether or not the firmware update will erase all the data from the device.

 

Could someone confirm whether or not existing data is erased?
