Title: Problems using Drivestation 500GB(HS500U2)
Post by: rae_stuart on April 25, 2009, 03:00:17 AM

I have a Linkstation used as a NAS on my router, and a Drivestation which was attached to it as a backup.   I am now scrapping the Linkstation, and want to use the Drivestation as a standalone hard drive via my PC's USB slot.  I have formatted the Drivestation via the "link navigator" software on the original PC, but on the new PC (which i have not installed any Buffalo software on), the PC will not recognise the drivestation via windows explorer.  Anyone got any ideas how to solve this?

Cheers,

Stuart

Check Disk Management to see if the drive shows up (Start->Run, diskmgmt.msc). If it does, delete the partition and reformat from there.
