Title: rsync & HD-H0.6TGL/R5
Post by: ron_nl on April 24, 2009, 07:58:19 AM

Today the nas (mainly for home use) arrived and first thing I will do is flash it to firmware 2.16 sometime this weekend. My question is if there is any way i can rsync it with my centos webserver which is, ofcourse, located at a datacenter? Memeo I will try for local use :)

Thanx

IMHO via web GUI not. In the interface could try but I think it will not find it, and remotely over internet, I don't think so. If the unit is not in warranty you could "open it up" via telnet or ssh and do it via linux command line. *will void the warranty* It is not exactely easy. Afterwards you could even use a script. If you are not a Linux guru better leave it. In command line you could cause great damage too.

I will ask disputator that you not mention methods that will void the warranty on this forum. Please refer to number 9 on our guidelines here. Thank you.
