Hi all,
Well I've been looking through the forums here and can't seem to find the a solution to this seriously frustrating problem.

LS420D Firmware 1.01 Connecting from Windows 7.

I have setup access restrictions. For example I have a folder for My_Documents (set up with the the same user and password as I log into on my laptop that I access these folders from). Inside that folder I have 6 subfolders. I can read/write to all of them except 2. Both of those 2 say access denied. If I reboot the linkstation or the PC I'm connecting from, I have access again to those 2 subfolders.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated right now.


EDIT: Could this have anything to do with copying folders over from my laptop and not creating the folders through maybe the web access? I'm just trying to think of things here. It's a very simple setup in my home. 2 Win7 laptops and Win7 media server on my home LAN.

I think I might have answered my own question. After days not being able to figure it out.

After creating the main folder (My_Documents) on the linkstation, I just copied folders straight from my HDD. What I should have done was create a new subfolder with the same name and just copy the contents. I hope this makes sense and I hope that was all it is. Time will tell.
