Title: LinkStation Live LS-CHL: Is there fan noise?

   I am very interested to buy the Buffalo NAS LS-CH1.0TL or the Linkstation Pro LS-XHL 1TB.

I would let it turned on all night to download but I am concerned it is too noisy..

It would be put next to my bed, so...

 

Is it very noisy???

Actually, the units are pretty quiet from what I see so you should be alright :)

That's a very subjective judgement... it makes much less noise than a computer, but when it is actively working, the fan will be on. It's hard to say just how much noise it makes, since it depends on how quiet the room is, and what your annoyance threshold is for sound.
