Title: TerraStation Pro will not accept logon
Post by: kenhoff on October 21, 2008, 09:19:18 AM

I recently rebooted my TerraStation which has been functioning flawlessly since it was installed over a year ago.  The reboot was because my daily backup to an attached USB drive had quit functioning with no apparent reason.  When the unit came back online it would no longer allow any user to authenticate to it.

It is joined to my SMS2003 Active Directory which has always worked fine.  The user list is still there, but trying to access the unit is now popping up a login dialog box which does not accept any of our Domain User Logins.

Any Ideas??

First thing you want to do is go into the Basic settings and make sure the date, time, time zone are still in synch with the Domain, if they are then try accessing the device by IP instead of hostname. So, go to start -> run and type \\ip where ip is the IP address of the NAS.

You access its GUI by entering its IP address into the address bar of your web browser.  The time setting should be there in the System category.
