Title: Linkstation Pro II - file permissions...I'm completely lost
Post by: snowfaction on April 17, 2009, 06:27:27 PM
Hi there...I am really confused.  I have a Linkstation Pro II with 2.05 firmware installed on my home network.  Bizzarrely, one folder has changed its file permissions since I tried to back up the device to a USB attached storage device. I have absolutely no idea why the permissions would have changed on just one folder.....which happens to be my itunes folder.  Any clues as to how I go about trouble shooting this?  All the folders except the itunes folder are fine. I get an access denied message any time I try to write to this folder. My home PC is running Windows XP....but when I right click on any of the NAS files i get no security options.  Please help!!

Could you provide the model number of the product? I'm not sure which you're dealing with.
