Title: RIXL188: ISCSI volume suddenly unavailable, but RAID okay
Post by: smguenther on February 16, 2014, 03:58:59 PM
Hi,

our   TS-RIXL188 (FW version 1.41) has 4 2 TB hdds, configured as 2 RAID1.

Yesterday our linux server lost the connection to the first of the two volumes. The webinterface tells me, that the server is still connected to both volumes, but there is no disk area assigned to the first volume. When I check the properties of this volume, the size is "NaN"

Checking the node from the server with  "iscsiadm -m node  -p 192.168.0.49:3260" returns the two expected volumes.

The strange thing is, that the 2 TB, that were originally assigned to the first volume, are available again and I was able to create a new volume.
But while the status of the first two volumes is "connected" (which is not true, because they are currently not mounted by the server), the status of the third volume is hust "active".

Does anyone have an idea what might have happened or even more important, how I can gain access to the data on the first volume again?

Thanks for any hints or suggestions,

Stefan
