Title: Is there any way to repair my Buffalo Terastastion?
Post by: Plexia75 on February 06, 2014, 12:09:35 PM
Hey there!

My product is Buffalo Pro Quad LS-QV8.0TL/R5

I recently had to replace harddisk in slot 1 and after it had rebuild the array1, it went down. Now hen I turn on the device it stays on for about 5 minutes before it shuts down without any warning. Is there anything to be done?

I bet no one will response to you in the next 10-75 years. I try to "help", is that hdd new, did u check the compatibility lists?, there is a manual about how to replace the hdd on the buffalo website. After you done all above but still not good, send it to the email tech support at buffalo website. Good luck.

Move the switch from auto to on. Failing that, disable raid array error detection via the GUI.

Holy smokes! I guess those two options did the trick :) My NAS has been up now for nearly 1 hour! I will let you know if it keeps failing but right now it's working just fine! Thanks man!
