Here's a challenge:

I have a LS-X3.0TL drive connected to my FiOS router. I wanted to put my new pc on the network. Originally it was setup on my network with a MacBook Pro and worked fine. I haven't used it in a few months. I connected my new Windows 8 PC to the network and looked for the LS-X3.0TL. At first I was having some issues because the IP address was going to an address blocked by my ISP. Now, I have a working IP address and I have full connectivity between it and the router (tested it by logging into the router and got full connectivity on the test diagnostics). The stupid thing still boots in Emergency Mode. I assumed I needed to update the firmware. Now I tried to update the firmware with the Windows Firmware download and it says "Partition not found." So, I tried to update the firmware using the Mac firmware update and it says "Partition not found." Basically, what I have concluded is that before this storage drive even hit the year mark it is dead but I figure I would throw this out to the community.

Needless to say, I am not happy now since I spent a ton of time backing all my stuff onto this drive and now I can't use it for what it is intended.

hey... I'm having a similar issue.  Did you ever get any resolution?  It doesn't look like the response here was overwhelming.

you need to debug the firmware to create partition but all your data will be delete it
