Title: How do you install 'CD image' on new iMac?
Post by: kriess on January 11, 2014, 08:59:55 PM
I have a new iMac that has no optical drive.  Thus, I bought this from Buffalo Tech.

http://www.buffalotech.com/products/optical-drives/mediastation/mediastation-8x-portable-dvd-writer-with-led-power-indicator

I entered my serial number and was able to download the "CD Image".  When I uncompressed the ZIP file I found no dmg file for Mac, only Windows install files.  The download file was named DVSM-PC58U2.

Can someone please point me in the right direction on how to install the necessary files to get this portable drive working on a Mac with OS X 10.8.5?

Thanks,
Ken
