Title: Linkstation Live - LS-CH1.0TL - Pemission problems for shared folders
Post by: roastchicken on April 15, 2009, 08:26:19 AM

Hi,

I have a created folder and triedto add some restrictions to it. However no matter how I do it, I can't seem to access the folder.

I have tried creating a folder, under Restrictions - selected Admin for Group and Admin for User.

Under Web Access, I selected the corresponding folder and chose " Use Inherited Folder Properties".

I tried logging in the folder, keyed in the username and password (admin and password), but was still denied access.

Please help.

THanks

Since admin is the privileged user, Web Access does not allow admin to log in. Create another user in User Management, then add that user to the access restrictions list.

Hi,

No use.

I have tried creating a new local user with the corresponding password.

Went to the folder and enabled restrictions, chose everything that there is on the list (in case I left anything out) and gave them permission.

I still can't access the folder no matter what I do

Someone please help!

In the Web Access->Shared Folders area did you set the web access permissions there as well?
