Title: Lost password LS500GL
Post by: wjevans69 on April 14, 2009, 04:26:29 PM

I have taken over IT Support for a company using a LS500GL NAS Drive. I do not know the current admin password for the LS500GL and need to get into it to setup some new user configuration. Please help me recover or reset the password so I can accomplish this task.

Thank you.

try resetting the unit using the reset (or init) button located on the back of the unit.

OK, but are there any repercussions for doing this? data loss for example? And is there a procedure for using the reset button like holding it in for a certain amount of time?

Thanks again for the help.

You shouldn't have any data loss.  Just hold the button down for about 25 seconds.
