I recently received a Faulty Hard drive error on one of the HDs for a Terastation Pro. I replaced the drive with a new one of equal size.
After the Array restructed the new drive, the Terastation will not mount the array.
I have attempted to install a firmware update (as I read that may be a common cause of a mount issue) but I am receiving the error "Product's disk free space is too small. :0MB Firmware update is canceled."
I also attepted to force install the firmware, but I received the same error.
Any suggestions?
I'm having same issue on a TS-1.0TGL/R5
When running NASUpdater (V1.04 or the 1.01/3) in DEBUG mode, regardless of the options checked on the Debug page, every attempt to flash results with the error "Product's disk free space is too small. :0MB Firmware update is canceled."
The current version of firmware is 1.00 so telnet is not possible on this PPS unit.
I can use the web interface, however it displays a SOFTWARE ERROR on the Home page "{BufCommonFineInfo.Load} File Open Error - /tmp/my_status"
When I check the RAID health it tells me "An error in a RAID Array has been detected - Data stored in this RAID Array cannot be recovered because two or more drives have failed = Select 'Delete Array' to remove the Array."
So when I click on OK then Delete RAID Array - I recieve a screen full of Software Error messages, beginning with:
Can't locate vars.pm in @INC (@INC contains: ./module /usr/lib/perl/5.6.1 /usr/share/perl/5.6.1 .. . . . .and on it goes

Have tried EM mode - results the same - Note also, the display window holds at "System ROM Checking......." with all 4 hard disks flashing GREEN every 30 seconds or so - constantly until powered off.
PLEASE - advise how to proceed - have a back-up of the data, already restored - just need to get the NAS back on-line as storage space is needed.
Wouldn't you know it, just before giving up on this for today - I try one more thing - Removed all of the Disk Drives, and started the TS in EM mode; the V1.04 NASUpdater program in DEBUG mode with all options selected successfully connected and began the firmware upgrade process!
After the WRITE was completed the TS booted as part of the process, then the program wanted to change the ARRAY however as the disks were removed it failed and the upgrade process ended in error.
So, I reinstalled all the disks and powered on the TS - it then complained Disk-1 and Disk-4 had failed, however this did not bother the NASUpdater, as with the same settings, it ran thru the entire process and completed all steps normally!
After powering down and checking the cable attachments to Disks 1 & 4 - the next power-up of the TS was all GREEN, all 4 drives passed and now the TS is indicating "RAID I17 ARRAY1 Resyncing" = which I expect may take a while?
