Title: webaccess setup
Post by: matthew.m.grant on November 23, 2013, 03:24:14 AM
I originally set up web acces with a 2 drive NAS without any problem, i then changed to RAID 1 and reset everything. I have not been able to set up web access again. The set up seems to work but then fails on save after I hit APPLY.

There is a yellow warning that the RAID array is being checked.

 It is a  LS420D (LS420D202) Version 1.11-0.68

I have tried the advanced settings, same failure but now it tells me "UPnP not available. Enable UPnP or use manual setup"

You need to port forward in your router. Disable UPNP in the LinkStation and put 9000 for the external port and go to your routers settings and port forward the ip and port 9000. UPNP is a poorly developed solution for port forwarding and doesn't always worked. If you tell me the router model i will help you as much as with the port forwarding settings.
