Title: Error on Array 1 (LinkStation)
Post by: absinthe on November 10, 2013, 05:57:46 PM
I have a LinkStation with two 1 TB drives set up in RAID 1.  It's a little less than 2 years old and I'm not having any problems with it.  However, when I looked at the admin page this weekend I noticed that under System > Storage, down under RAID Array the "Status" of Array 1 is "Error."  Not sure what this means since, as I stated, I'm not having any problems that I know of.  The drive is about 60% full.  I did run Check Disk, and it does not report any problems.  I then chose to rebuild the array, which didn't take that long.  Then the Error was gone for a while.  But I rechecked later the same day and the "Error" is back in the Status column.  I am just mildly concerned that there is something unhealthy about the drive.  Should I be concerned?  Is there something I should do?

Which Drive is errored out? If you rebuilt to it and it later failed again, chances are that it is marginal and is on it's way out.
