Title: Help with HD-WL6TU3R1
Post by: optikon on November 10, 2013, 09:19:35 AM
Hello, I purchased a HD-WL6TU3R1 6TB dual drivestation. There are 2 independent 3 TB drives installed.

I would like to have it running in a RAID 1 config - which, I believe it was setup by default.

The issue I have is when I first connected it to my PC. I saw 2 "drives" first drive with about 2 TB and second drive with about 1 TB = 3 TB.
I then proceeded to use the included tool to format them to the NTFS file system so that I can store files larger than 4GB in size.

Now I only see the 1 drive with 2 TB.
I have not set this thing up correctly apparently.
What I expect to see is just 1 drive that has 3TB available. Is this correct?

What can I do to get to 3 TB ?

Can somebody offer some guidance? The manuals are extremely lacking in these kinds of details and have been very disappointing.

Many thanks in advance!
