Title: Failed Terastation Home Server 1TB
Post by: porko on April 12, 2009, 12:09:07 PM

Can anyone offer advice on a hardware failure?

I appoached the Terastation after I could not seem to contact it remotely. The lights all seemed OK, however the discs were not spinning. I powered it off and then back on again, but no lights came back it. it's completely dead.

Does anyone have ideas on how to progress this, inc problem determination and replacement parts? I have most of the data backed up, but there is still some that I would like to retrieve.

Thanks in advance,

Paul

I'm sorry but this is a discontinued unit and there are no replacement parts available for it. If there is data that needs to be recovered I suggest contacting a data recovery specialist. Beyond that there isn't any parts that are available. My apologies.
