I have a LS-QL (F/W 1.11) and it appears to be stuck in a disk check mode.  The error message when I log in is:  Currently a Format or Disk Check is being carried out.  During this time the LinkStation settings cannot be changed. Also the file share service will not be available.

All the drive lights are solid green, while the blue power light flashes 2 long red, followed by a short red – a sequence that does not appear to be in the manual!  This stops if I push the function button.  In this mode, the only item that works is the power switch – all of the links in the web page appear to be dead.

To further complicate the issue, the backup appears to have failed, though it doesn't provide any further details!

Is it possible to put this into a maintenance mode to find out what is going on, or any suggestions as to how I can get access to the data in the unit?

I also have installed OS Mavericks and now cannot access my Buffalo HD.. "SERVER YOU ARE TRYING TO CONNECT TO IS NOT SUPPORTED.
Does this mean Buffalo File Servers are not working on Mac OS anymore?

I upgraded to Mavericks two days ago, and can no longer access TimeMachine on my LS-WX2.0TL/R1.  It tells me that it "Cannot connect to current Time machine Disk".  I opened a case, but have not heard anything back yet.  Please offer guidance.
