Title: [Help] linkstation live disk failure
Post by: Leo_cheng on October 10, 2013, 11:53:31 AM
Hi,

My linkstation LS CH2.0TL report disk failure error code E30. I need to recover my data. What can I do?

I can open the case and take the hard drive out and mount it to a PC workstation. My question is whether windows can read the data? Seems the linkstation runs on custermized linux/unix and format the disk accordingly. I need to recover my data!

Also, any other tips to fix it within the linkstation. I have tried the reset/restore and force firmware upgrade. nothing works here. I can still log into the WebUI. It is fully functional. But I can not access to my file on the network either PC or Mac. It is always report error in disk 1, fail to mount disk 1 (LED flashing red)

Any tips is appreciated!

Thanks.

Mount it in a Linux PC and see if the partitions are recognised, Windows cannot read the file format (XFS)
