Title: LS-WV2.0/R0 - Red Light blinks 7 Times in a Row
Post by: flannel on October 07, 2013, 05:19:15 PM
So, I'm confident many know this--I am not that computer savvy, though.  I did a search, couldn't find an answer (though I see a question like it from March).

I just bought a Linkstation.  I set it up maybe four days ago.  Got rid of my old WD My Book WE2.  All went well.  I like it.

Today, for what I can only imagine is no reason, it turns on (it had been off, intentionally) and I get the blue startup LED and then a series of 7 red flashes in quick succession.

It is an error of some kind, clearly.  But given the nature of things--I am desperately hoping the data on those drives isn't "gone".  Everything is standard, nothing was modified.

Is this something that a reboot fixes?  A reset?  I haven't even managed to get this thing going for a week--then again, perhaps this is less than horrific.

Help?

I think this error means "no hard drives detected".  Try to remove and reinstall the drives maybe it is  just a bad contact.
