Title: 6 red flashes on Linkstation Live LS-CH1.0TL
Post by: andyblake on April 11, 2009, 04:48:49 AM

Hiya

I woke to 6 red flashes on my nas today - as far as I can tell it means that the hard disk is having issues. What is the best course of action? Can I somehow recover it by flashing it ? Would flashing it lose all my data? Is it worth me trying to open it up and connecting the harddisk to another computer to recover the data from it that way? Any advice is appreciated. My harddisk I order to backup the nas is arriving on Tuesday..... typical

Cheers

Andy

It's possible the boot partition could be lost. You could try running a TFTP boot followed by a firmware reflash.
