Title: TS5400D and HD-LBU3 connected through USB3 - slow speed transfer
Post by: dunnray on September 05, 2013, 09:09:30 PM
I have a HD-LBU3 connected through the USB3 port on the back of the TS5400D (both Buffalo products).
The transfer speed is 1.31 MB/sec, taking a VERY long time for any type of file move/copy.

Both products are listed to have " SuperSpeed transfer speeds of up to 130MB/s".

Is anyone aware of any issues and/or settings that could improve the transfer rate?

Thx

Is it a PC or laptop you are transfering the data from? The transfer will be going through your network, not directly from the TS to HDD.

The data is being transferred from the external HD-LBU3, connected through the USB3 port, on the back of the TS5400D, to the TS5400D hard drives.

I am using a computer, connected via network to the TS5400D (all on the same hard line), to access the TS5400D and the HD-LBU3 to initiate the transfer.
nothing is being move from the computer hard drive.

If there is a better way to initiate the data transfer than via "Microsoft Network" (i.e. through the TS5400D web interface)?
It would be nice to have the TS5400D initiate the transfer native to the device.
