Title: HD-HS1.0TQ and Window 7
Post by: sendandreturn on September 03, 2013, 08:42:41 AM
Hi,

I just got this Combo 4 Drivestation HD-HS1.0TQ off ebay and I should have checked the compatibility for Windows 7 beforehand, Windows 7 cannot see the drive, however I did try doing the steps listed here..

http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/442b464a-7b51-495d-9750-d618a23e126d/buffalo-drivestation-compatibility-with-windows-7 (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/442b464a-7b51-495d-9750-d618a23e126d/buffalo-drivestation-compatibility-with-windows-7). I cannot add a drive letter unfortunately. The PC sees it fine but no letter.

Have I bought a brick...I have also done the regedit change listed there..

Would using esata make a difference?

Thanks

If the disk management see's it then just delete and recreate the partition.

Brilliant Davo - that worked...

Can I use this drive as

a) Virtual Mem from Windows 7
b) Can I use Ramdisk / TurboPC in Windows 7
