Title: LS-W2.0TGL - Completely new setup
Post by: honkitonkman on August 11, 2013, 02:54:19 AM
Hi,

earlier I disassembled my Linkstation  LS-W2.0TGL and formatted (!) the two drives as I wanted to put them into another NAS. And yes, I should not have done it in the first place...

However, now I reassembled the unit and need to reconfigure/install it back to factory settings (I am assuming I need to install the proprietary Operating System, etc. but have no idea what to do and where to start). I was hoping there is some kind of a Wiki/HowTo or setup program or a file collection which I just swiftly need to push on the NAS and it will come back to life :-) - and yes I did not lose my hope... Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Follow FAQ 3 of 5 in the storage section to TFTP the unit, this will put it into EM mode and then just reinstall the firmware.
