Hi,
I have reseted a Buffalo Linkstation Live Firmware/Version 1.64. Then, I formated the HDD of the NAS. This ended in the following problem:

When I try to login, with the default User and Password of course, which is admin/password, I get an "invalid login" error.

I wrote also wrote it into an editor and c&p-ed it into the login gui, to avoid typing mistakes.
Also, the login gui is slightly different from the gui of a working Linkstation, as you can see in the picture.
The password of the NAS definitely hasn't been changed since the reset.

I hope the community is able to help me with this problem.

Use this file to reset the password, it will reset all the other settings also.

have a LS-CH1.5TL that went belly up  and went into EM MODE. Reflashed the firmware, fixed that issue however the WEB Admin password was not accepted and the procedure using the function button failed to reset to the default password.  Buffalo tech support referenced this forum entry that the LSRecovery procedure.

Downloaded  the code, ran it; now back in business no data loss and the shares  I defined were still there, remapped and alls GOOD!!!!

I downloaded LSRecovery and run the lsrecovery.exe, but then, the log says:
"Detecting NAS...NG
Aborted."
Do I have to do something special with the LS to give the LSRecovery-Tool access to the LS?

Hi.

I have the same issue with my LS-WXL. I have updated it with the latest firmware ver 1.68 after which the NAS was restarted but I could not login to the web access.

The link to LS recovery does not seem to work. Can repost the link?
