Title: bit torrent extension
Post by: scimmiettarossa on July 26, 2013, 03:58:45 PM
the bittorrent feature on my buffalo linkstation duo does not work any more....  any new torrent stays in a never-ending "[F]Downloading" status... with 0 (0) Seeds and 0 (0) Peers

any solution?  i've found some posts on the internet.. but nothing similar to a solution!

thanks
rosanna

I'd guess that your port forwarding /UPnP environment has changed somehow.

Have you replaced your router, or moved your linkstation to a different one?

update: it does not work ONLY with some torrent... for example all torrents for linux mint distribution ISOs, and some others...

could be a sort of whitelist/blacklist?

Hi!

I have a similar problem with my Linkstation Live: on firmware 1.64 I was completely unable to download any torrent with the web extension (but I can from my pc with the installed utorrent client). I just installed firmware 1.65, but I have the exactly same issue. No download whatsoever. Any idea how to solve?

Thanks!

Guys. This is a well known problem and sure scimmiettarossa is right. Buffalo licenses uT embedded and packages version uTorrent/300B into these firmware images, that is considered obsolete and blacklisted by many trackers. (fyi. this version is more than 3 years old.)

We tried to contact Buffalo a couple of times - search through the forums - with no luck so far.
